First we drew a horizon line. Then we drew the shape of our Kapiti Island. We looked at kowhaiwhai designs and koru patterns. We divided our paper into three sections- sky, land and sea and used vivid pens to outline our designs. We needed to choose cold colours, hot colours and earthy colours.
Then we used dye over the top to really show our crayon colours.
Then we added our Matariki Star cluster- can you see it?
