We made puppets and tried them out. They were so good other people in the class wanted to make some too.
We had to draw our puppets and glue it into black paper and cut it out.
Then we had to tape a straw on it to hold it up.
Ms P made a stage for us. She cut a hole in a box and taped some paper over the hole. Then we used a lamp to reflect the shadow puppets onto the stage.
Here are some of our puppets. Carol made the house and the tree.
Can you see a dragon, a bird and an alien?
We are going to make up some stories to act out with our puppets.

DeleteWe have some tips for you when you are making your own shadow puppets. We learned that if you use a bendy straw you can make your shadow puppet move better and the audience won't be able to see the shadow of the straw. It makes it seem magical for the audience! We would love to see your creations.
